Brackets & Jam is planning 2 big events
G'day. We had the Brackets & Jam AGM followed by a GM about 2 big events for the Redfern Community Centre on the 28th May & the 18th June. The planning meetings will be at my place every Monday night & as I'm very much a people person, having all my B&J friends around every week will energise me & motivate me. I'm already buzzing a bit & feeling pretty good about finding us some grants that will be perfect for what we want to do that close on June 1st when I was a bit depressed because I thought I had missed all our grant opportunities for the year because of an April 1st deadline on one I was looking at. Who knows, I might be the one to get us tax deductible status so donations to B&J are tax deductible. If I can pull off one good event or get us one good grant or get as tax deductible status I will feel my time as administrator was not in vain. I suspect we'll end up with some sort of regular gig happening at the Redfern Community Centre eventually.
Also I've started doing the editing of the recordings of the sermon & putting them on CD at my church, which has been fun as our church administrator is a really encouraging guy I really enjoy being around.
Apart from that I've been doing a lot of cooking lately & am eating more healthily & more cheaply than before & I took dinner over to a friend's place a couple of times so I get to see my friends more often as a result as well.
Just updated my web site to include a page about why believing Jesus rose from the dead is not as ridiculous as some people think & one of the sites I did for a friend's business has been getting them work as well, so I'm chuffed about that.
All in all things are very good at the moment.
Blessings,
Joe :-)
